Kari is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in pain management, sports performance, mental health and well being. She completed her masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine while continuing on her schooling as she finishes her Doctorate in Acupuncture at the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2023.
Kari played Division 1 soccer at Syracuse University and UAlbany, where she unfortunately endured a tragic injury during a game. She was told she was never going to run again. Kari began to seek alternative ways to heal her body and mind as she stumbled upon Acupuncture and Chiropractic care. These treatments greatly accelerated her healing process on a body and mind level. She was soon able to run and play soccer recreationally 1 year later.
Kari is very passionate about supporting Athletes to enhance their performance; both on the physical playing field and the playing field of the mind. As an athlete, she is aware of the emotional toll high level sports has on an athlete’s mental health. She incorporates 5 element acupuncture and TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) to help support athletes suffering from depression, anxiety, insomnia/other sleep disorders, hormonal issues, weight loss, physical/psycho-emotional trauma, digestive issues, and women’s health issues. Kari also uses trigger point acupuncture which is a myofascial release technique to allow the patient to have access to the muscle's full strength. She uses electric stimulation, which signals to the brain to release human growth hormone, which accelerates the healing process.
My name is Eli Hernandez. I have been a sports massage therapist for about a year now. I have a background in Exercise Science. My goal is to help everyone improve both physically and mentally with massage therapy.
Jake is trained in Muscle Therapy and will soon have his IASTM and cupping certifications. He also has his B.S in kinesiology.
So, to sum it up, he is a total bad ass at taking care of athletes.
Hi, I am BOSA, The lead Muscle Therapist and owner of UMT. I am also a 12 year Army (National Guard) Vet with 2 deployments and lots of great times.
In 2015 in an act to turn my life around I decided to become a massage therapist and help people. I have always had a desire to help others and until massage, I wasn't fulfilling that need.
People shouldn't be in so much pain yet I see so many who have been dealing with it for years. MASSAGE CAN HELP. Specifically MUSCLE THERAPY. I developed MUSCLE THERAPY to be geared toward athletes, resolving pain and improving life and athletic performance.
I love being able to use this gift to help so many great people. I also love to educate people about why they have pain and how they can resolve it them selves. (Yes, I come with homework, lol)
I believe we all just need to spend a little more time taking care of these amazing bodies that do so much for us. The muscles and fascia , which are constantly taking care of us must be taken care of. Muscle Therapy is one of the best ways to do that. Also, epsom salt baths.
