I have worked with over 1,000 athletes from MD, VA and CO. My clients range from regular gym goers, to some of the fittest and strongest in the world. Over the course of 4 years I have learned many of the common causes of most ACHES, PAINS, INJURIES and ATHLETIC LIMITATIONS. I have thoughtfully developed my Muscle Therapy massage technique with the intention of CHANGING THE WORLD, one client at a time.
THE MUSCLE THERAPY TECHNIQUE
After receiving my Massage practitioner certification from Baltimore school of Massage in 2014, I went into business for myself with the intention of developing the best Massage brand in the world. First, I knew I would have to create a phenomenal and effective technique. So, I did. I use a combination of DEEP TISSUE and TRIGGER POINT therapy to resolve the underlying issues that are causing your aches and pains as an athlete. It's...Uncomfortable...But it works.
I work to find the underlying issues that are causing you pain. For example, if you are feeling pain in the front of your shoulder; rarely is the
problem originating from a problem in the front of your shoulder. Rather, in lots of cases, the pain is coming from the ROTATOR CUFF. The rotator cuff is a group of muscles that are responsible for most athletic shoulder issues. I have a variety of techniques to assess and relieve those and other similar problems.

YOUR MUSCLE THERAPY/MASSAGE SESSION
I have a goal in each massage session. That goal is to get my client back to 100% as quickly and efficiently as possible. As well as, provide them with the ULTIMATE MASSAGE EXPERIENCE.
Sessions are done in the Massage room inside of Critical Mass Fitness. Generally, I like to spend about 10 minutes talking to my client before the session starts and then 80-90 minutes on the massage table. In most cases I ask clients to wear shorts and shirtless/Sports bra. After an hour and a half of Deep Tissue Massage and Trigger Point therapy, clients usually report feeling much more functional. less pain and more open.

Once a year is better than never, but weekly is even better than monthly. I believe, massage should be a daily habit for humans, since it has so many amazing benefits. (As shown above). Regularly receiving a massage from a loved one and giving one in return could heal a lot of the pain in the world. I currently offer 90 minute and 45 minute sessions, to best accommodate your schedule.
Absolutely! Sometimes, the body needs hands-on therapy to relieve your pain. Massage, in general, is great for almost everyone. In addition to pain relief; massage can improve your mobility, reduce stress, calm your mind and give you a break from the madness of the world. My massage technique is just a big bit more intense and targeted than the average massage... But, in a good way.
Muscle Therapy is my twist on regular massage therapy. I utilize deep tissue, trigger point therapy, stretches, mobility movements and the Theragun and Cupping therapy.
